Apple Curriculum and Resources for Education
For 40 years Apple have been working alongside educators to create resources and tools to enhance learning in the classroom. As part of this process, Apple have created resources, guides and curricula to make it easier to bring coding and core creative skills into every subject. And with programmes designed to help teachers learn from each other, see what you can achieve with Apple curricula below.
Everyone Can Create
Creative expression leads to deeper student engagement and when students are more engaged, they take ownership of their learning and become better problem-solvers, communicators and collaborators. This encourages them to explore and experiment more, stretching their imaginations and enabling them to make deeper connections and to understand their learning better. These creative skills carry through everything students do in school enhancing and extending learning even further.
Everyone Can Create is a free resource developed by Apple to help students to develop these creative skills and to communicate their learning and ideas in any subject through drawing, filmmaking, photography and music. The projects in the Everyone Can Create guides give teachers fun and meaningful ways to ignite student creativity and to bring these skills into any lesson, topic or assignment. Using the native apps on iPad, students can express their understanding and their learning using built-in multi-media such as camera, video, green screen, microphone, multi-touch display and Apple Pencil.

Everyone Can Code
Coding is essential to help students thrive in a future driven by technology. When you teach coding, you also build 21st Century skills like critical thinking and problem-solving.
The Everyone Can Code curriculum is a FREE resource for educators developed by Apple to help teachers give all students the opportunity to learn to code in school and to equip them with the 21st Century skills they will need for the future. With in-class activities, app based puzzles and discussion topics, all students can learn to think and program like coders. Apple's Get Started with Code and Learn to Code guides include lessons for applying coding concepts like sequences, debugging and conditional statements in everyday contexts for junior learners right up to activities include solving real coding problems, texting classmates' code, designing programs and exploring user interface. For more experienced coders, the lessons and activities focus on using the skills they've built to prototype and develop apps. There are even accessible coding resources created to extend coding experiences to all students regardless of ability.
Swift is a programming language created by Apple to make coding easier and more accessible to students and the Swift Playgrounds app takes full advantage of all the Multi-Touch features of iPad so students can drag code around with their fingers an watch the effects immediately unfold. Students can control characters with real code and learn key programming concepts by solving puzzles, making learning to code as fun as playing a game. Swift Playgrounds can also be used to programme many robots and drones, giving students the opportunity to experience how code works in the real world.
