My child's device is not charging.

Please ensure your child is using the charger that was supplied with the device. For instance, if a student uses an iPhone charger on an iPad, it may result in long term damage to the battery in the iPad. Please try charge the device with a known working charger.

My child's device is physically damaged.

On the basis that you have insured your device, please contact your insurance company to discuss repair options.

When I order an eBook how long will it take until it appears on the device?
  • Orders placed over the summer months (June - August)
    • These eBooks will be assigned to the students accounts in-time for their return to school at the beginning of term.
  • Orders placed during the school year (September - May)
    • From time of payment these eBooks will be assigned to the students account within approximately 5 working days.

(In order to retrieve these eBooks please logout and back into the relevant publisher applications (Edco, Folens, CJ Fallon etc)

My device is frozen.

Some tips on how to fix a frozen device:


iPad - Please press the on/off and home button together for 10 seconds - once the Apple logo appears release both buttons and the iPad should power on.


Windows device - Please press and hold the on/off button for 10 seconds until the Windows logo appears. This should allow the device to reboot.

How do I apply parental restrictions on my device?

You can use restrictions, also known as parental controls, to limit or block specific features on your child's iPad (i.e. Camera, Safari, App Store).

Windows (Linx 1020 & HP x360) 

Students' web browsing activity will be restricted while they are on the school network. As always, web browsing activity constantly needs to be monitored by parents outside of the school environment. 

Internet service providers can restrict web browsing on request and solutions such as iKydz can aid what children see on the web and when they can see it. Further information about web safety can be found here
What are my child's login details?

On the deployment day your child would have received a deployment sheet listing important details. If this sheet has been misplaced there should be a picture of it on their device.

When will my child receive their device?

Provided the bundle is ordered before the deadline date (issued to you by the school), the device will be ready for the deployment day (indicated on your order confirmation email) in the school. On this day Wriggle will deliver a workshop to the students covering topics such as device features, accessing eBooks, understanding restrictions, acceptable usage, tips and tricks, etc. This session lasts for approx. 1hr 30 mins and class times will be communicated by the school. 


Please note, Wriggle do not ship devices directly to your home address in advance of the deployment.

How do I place an order?
Your school has carefully selected an educational bundle for their students. Please note you will have a Wriggle Store opening and closing date, a unique store code and a deployment date (the date in which students receive their devices). This information is communicated to the school. It is circulated to parents/guardians through email, letter or on their website. Please check with the school directly. 

Once you have your store code you are ready to place your order. Simply visit our website and enter the store code (found above). Click 'Order Online', insert your store code and then you can proceed with your order.

Please note that late orders will incur an additional administration charge of €50. There is also a risk that the order will not be processed in time for deployments, meaning that the student's device might not be ready for the new school year. 
My child is missing an eBook from their order.
  • Please check your receipt to ensure this eBook was ordered.
  • Please ensure your child has logged out and logged back in to the relevant publisher app (Edco, Folens, CJ Fallon,, Gill, Mentor) in order to refresh the bookshelf.

Ordering Online

Where do I get my store login code from?
You'll get your login code from your school. Depending on the school, you may have received an email, a text, a letter or it may be on the school website. 
What bundle should I pick?
Please pick the bundle that represents the year that the student is progressing into. For example, if they're currently in 1st year, you'll pick the 2nd year bundle.
What devices are available to me?

This will depend on what device your school has chosen. Whatever device is presented on your store are the options that are available to you.

The devices available on the 2018 store are: 

  • iPad 32GB wifi (2018)
  • iPad 128GB wifi (2018)
  • Linx 1020
  • HP x360

What iPad storage option should I choose?
At Wriggle, we advise that the iPad with the 32GB storage option is sufficient for school use. We recommend backing up all data to the cloud application on your device. This will help free up any necessary space.
What case should I choose?
This will depend on what device your school has chosen. Whatever cases that are presented on your store, are the options that are available to you.
Should I buy insurance?

At Wriggle, we recommend you purchase insurance with the student's device. Accidents do happen, so it is strongly recommended that you insure your child's device to provide cover for the following:

  • Accidental Damage
  • Liquid Damage
  • Theft
  • Worldwide Cover
  • Breakdown
  • Up to 15% discount for Multiple Devices
  • Loss Cover also available for an additional premium


Device insurance can be purchased on our store. If you wish to buy insurance at a later date, you can do so through Gadget Insurance by clicking here. We strongly advise that you purchase insurance when you initially buy your device. 

How do I buy insurance with Wriggle?
Wriggle have partnered up with Gadget Insurance to provide the best quality insurance for your device. To purchase insurance on our online store, you will be asked to fill out form. You should put in the parents date of birth here as a policy cannot be held by minor (under 18 years of age). If you haven’t taken a policy out while purchasing your device you can still buy insurance by clicking here. We strongly advise that you purchase insurance when you initially buy your device. 
How much does insurance cost?
Insurance with Wriggle & Gadget Insurance is charged on a monthly basis. The insurance plan self-renews at the end of each year. Insurance will start from €5.79 per month.
What are "Wriggle Services"?
'Wriggle Services' are everything Wriggle does to support students and the school signed up to our programme. This includes: device management, licensing configuration, introductory workshops and support. This fee is mandatory.
What books should I buy?
The book list on our store is provided by the school. Core curriculum books will be pre-selected for you. You may be required to select an optional or language curriculum book too. These options are provided by the school, so if you're not sure, please check with your school directly first before purchasing. Additional books can be purchased at a later date if required. 
What if I don't have a voucher code?
If you are presented with the option to enter a voucher code and have not been provided with one issued from the school please disregard this section. 
What is iKydz?
This is a service that was developed by one of the parents in our partner schools. It is a parental internet control that can be used at home to control all devices. It allows parents/guardians to help manage children's' online time. This is an optional product, it is not compulsory to purchase it. However, if you're concerned about your family's use of online devices at home, we would highly recommend iKydz. You can purchase iKydz here
Why does Wriggle need student details?
Student details are required in the order to ensure the necessary and correct accounts are created for the configuration of the student device. Each device has a management profile put on it to make it personalised for each student.
What payment method should I choose?

There are two options available for you to make device payment. 

Credit/Debit Card: This will be processed immediately after purchase in full.


Credit Union: Credit unions are the leading provider of loans for educational purposes. You may wish to contact your local credit union to enquire about a loan. You can find contact details for your local credit union here. Please provide your reference number to Wriggle when sending payment to Wriggle.  


What happens if I don't receive my order confirmation email?

If you don't receive your order confirmation email within the first 5 minutes of purchasing the device, please do the following:


  • Check your spam filter (sometimes unfamiliar emails can fall in here).
  • If it is located in your spam filter, please move it to your Inbox. You can also whitelist this email address to stop this from happening in the future.

How do I access the Online Store?
Visit and click the orange 'Order Online' button located at the top right hand side of your screen or scroll to the bottom of your page. Here you'll be required to enter your store login code, which is provided by your school. 

For Students

Does my device need to be fully charged for school every day?
Yes! You should arrive to school every morning with a battery percentage of 90% or more.
What charger should I use when charging my device?
When charging your device, make sure you only ever use the charger that came with it. So, for example, do not use an iPhone charger when charging your iPad.
How long will my battery last?
Your device will have up to 10 hours battery life, plenty for each school day.
There is a software update available on my device, should I update?
Updates need to be fully tested by our engineers to make sure there are no bugs. Please wait until your school or teacher informs you that it is okay to install any software updates. 
Do I need a case on my device?
Schools are busy places with lots of people. We strongly recommend that you have a case on your device at all times to reduce the risk of damage.
I’ve forgotten my passcode for my iPad – What do I do?

Don't panic. It is really important not to enter the incorrect passcode too many times as you risk having your iPad completely locked out and potentially losing important data.
